Garage Conversion Extensions
The Project
This garage conversion was needed so that the existing space could be be divided into two areas; a garage, and extended living space which could be accessed directly from the main living room.
The garage extension was built to the full depth of the house and then spilt into two areas.
Inside the garage space, the walls existed, but the roof needed to be reworked. New automatic roller doors was installed so that access to the garage was easier.
The other side of the extension was going to be transformed into additional living space; and had to be built from the ground up. We laid the footings, block work and the brick work and then a new tiled roof which spanned across the complete extension; including the garage area.
This home extension needed access from the main living room so we knocked through the existing wall and installed a lintel, as well as a door and window.
Additional Extension Work
In addition to the garage conversion and extension, we laid a new tiled, lean too roof in place of an existing felt, flat roof. Inside the property, we knocked through an existing standard door to create full width walk way which opened up the living room and dining room to create an open plan living space.
